Silly thread, but...
I just thought I would share something that I am very excited about.
A while back I introduced one of my Alpha Phi pledge sisters to my hubby's best friend. Fast forward a year or so...
Guess what? He proposed and they are getting married this September! I am so happy for them and so glad it worked out. She's asked me to be in her wedding and I can't wait to sing with all of our other A-Phi sisters at her reception.
Kind of silly, but I thought I would share. Hope you all have a beautiful week.
Alpha Phi Love,
Jen

I think it is so sweet, not silly at all! You two will certainly share an extra special bond!

Not silly at all! You are silly for saying it is silly! Hehe, just kidding.
I am super excited for your pledge sister and her soon-to-be hubby! Woo Hoo!!
A-Phi weddings are super fun. I went to my first about a month ago and cannot wait for the next!

LOL volgirl2376 and SATX*APhi, I'll keep my eye out for ya! He's a resident at Emory and there are a couple of eligible guys in his resident class.
I wish my hubby had some brothers, he's the sweetest guy you'll ever meet. (Of course I am biased!)

Update!
Exciting update! I just got back from a week-long ski trip to Breckenridge with the A-Phi sister I mentioned above and her fiance.
Here's the best part: She and C, her fiance, took me and hubby to dinner and officially asked us to be in their wedding. (She'd hinted I'd be in it, but hadn't offically asked.)
We're going to be the Matron (what a word!) of Honor and the Best Man! I was so honored and excited. It will be great to walk down the aisle together and not have to be so nervous (as we were the first time!)
Anyone have any great shower ideas? This is my first time to be a matron (or maid) of honor.
AOE,
Jen

Sometimes InStyle or Martha Stewart Wedding have good show ideas. I like one I saw once -an alphabet shower. Each guest gets a letter of the the alphabet and their gift has to be from that letter. I have also seen a time idea like morning noon night and the gift needs to be from the assigned time. So the am person might get her a waflle maker or coffee maker or something.

Oh yes, something Aphigal reminded me of something. When one of our sisters fot married, for her bridal shower everyone had a time of the day/night. Your gift was supposed to be something that could be used at that time. It is a little difficult, for example, for those that have 3:00pm. The guy who had 3:00pm gave pillows for an afternoon nap. (This bridal shower was co-ed) It can be fun, though.

All of this sounds really fun! I'm so excited for everyone involved in the wedding! I was wondering though--you mentioned that you were going to sing at the wedding with other Aphi sisters, are there any Aphi songs that are especially for weddings, or at least be appropriate at a wedding? I would love to get them from you if you have any. The only song I know that concerns getting married is "Alpha Phi Sweetheart".
