Question Do you know where I can buy or sell some on the internet?

We don't have any APO paraphanalia (SP?) at our school, but I want some. Also, I have some old ZTA paraphanalia. Is there anywhere on the net I can buy or sell them?

SH,

Most Nationals websites have links to businesses who sell Greek merchandise either on the web or by mail.

On the other subject, there have been a number of folks who are offended by the sale of their GLO's stuff on the internet. Why not donate it to a local chapter or the ZTA Nationals?

Most of us would rather not have organizations paraphanalia in the hands of non brothers/sisters.

hey it would probably be a good time to contact your Greek bookstore and tell them to start selling APO paraphernalia . Especially if your chapter is large already...i know some campus greek bookstores don't wanna carry an org's merchandise coz they wanna make sure there's demand for it and coz they must fulfill a minimum number of orders or something. I believe it took a while before our Greek bookstore carried Alpha Phi Gamma (a growing Asian interest sorority)merchandise (which was only last fall, and they were chartered for like a year already). maybe you and your chapter can send a letter or talk to the bookstore manager.

also you can contact your national headquarters, they probably have a contract thingie with a manufacturer/business that specializes in your merchandise (we do, and like AST has one with Greekgear) and you can contact them.

Hey, if you are from Illinois, you can visit my campus at NIU! Our bookstore has TONS of APO stuff, and you guys actually got the cool cookie jars and this thing filled with candy, and we don't! We asked the bookstore and they said they'll start carrying ours in the fall.

Oh yeah, and there's nothing wrong with making your own stuff--our pledge moms bought these plain plastic picture frames (the 97 cent kind!)and hand painted them with our letters and names n stuff. we have "personalized" baby sippy cups that the actives decorated when we were pledges.

I don't see anything wrong with selling para over the net. it's no different then a greek specialty store selling it, and i wouldn't expect SH80 to donate it back either, especially if she paid for it to begin with. If you don't want it, you might ask some active sisters you know if they'd like to take it off your hands for a cheap price. otherwise, i would say feel free to sell it on ebay, providing it's not anything like a badge, pledge pin, pledge book, etc.

Hey, hey, hey! Don't worry, I don't have any badges from either GLO. I didn't even knew that we got badges. Are you talking about like boy scout badges? I knew we are associated the the BS, but I didn't know we recieved badges also.

I would sell the ZTA stuff back to the active chapter (or donate it if you're feeling magnanimous). It would be a lot easier than hassling with the shipping and waiting for checks to clear if you sell on ebay.
