R.I.P. Dick Van Patten

Dick Van Patten, the family patriarch on Eight is Enough, has passed away.

The Van Patten's Natural Balance pet food company sponsored Tournament of Roses Parade floats over the years. Our family cat didn't like eating their brand of cat food, even though it was vet recommended for her age/digestion.

It's fun to accidentally see Dick Van Patten (or some other of the large Van Patten family) on an old tv rerun like Perry Mason or White Shadow. Anyone else have a crush on Vince in Apple's Way?

A wonderful character actor that I remember from a lot of the 70s Disney films he did and all of the tv shows he was a part of, including the aforementioned Eight is Enough.
