Visitor from Real World, Back to New York

One of my sisters brought Up 'Til Dawn to our campus. It is a campus-wide fund-raiser for St. Jude Children's Hospital. Tonight we had our finale to celebrate all we have done. Campus-wide, we raised over $12,000!! This is totally awesome, coming from a small school, St. Mary's University.

Kevin of the Real World, Back to New York came to our finale!! He had cancer and is from Austin, about an hour and half north of San Antonio, where I go to school. He gave a small speech and then hung out with us for about an hour. It was awesome! I did not get to talk to him; I was being a little shy. Before I could get up to talk to him, he was already preparing to leave.

But it's okay. His presence and praise was enough for me and everyone else! I did get in a group photo with him, though.

Just wanted to share.

I think that is really cool. It's always great to have someone well known come to an event or fundraiser that your putting on. Especially if it's being put on by a greek organization. THen I think that it shows the people out there that we care too you know. great job on the 12,000 dollars! congrats
