IFC at U. of Kansas Votes to Ban Hard Liquor

The IFC at the University of Kansas has “voted to ban the presence or consumption of hard alcohol by fraternity [members] or guests on fraternity property,” starting this fall, according to news reports. Beer and wine are not included in the ban.

The article (above) indicates that the impetus for addressing the hard liquor issue came from fraternity and sorority alumni, and was strongly supported by sorority members (i.e., undergraduates). Apparently, there were mixed reactions among fraternity undergrads.
