Bring It! on Lifetime

This show is about The Dancing Dolls.

http://www.mylifetime.com/shows/bring-it

This is typically not my type of show but I love good dancing.

@ the bickering mothers as if we don't have enough shows based on bickering women

LOL @ the DDP "line jackets" the girls and their mothers wear

Here are the girls' jackets:

The Dancing Dolls are AMAZING dancers! Their routines leave my jaw dropping every time. But I really can't get over the costumes they and the other teams wear.

But unlike Abby Lee from Dance Moms, even though she's crazy and strict, she's not all bs and actually cares about the girls and wants to help them stay out of trouble by dancing.

She's a good teacher.

Do you think she does a good job of drawing a line between good dancing versus sexualizing children?

The younger dancers (Baby Dancing Dolls?) are so cute!

some of the dance moves look sexual and with the costumes, they can go a little far, but for the most part, it's just good dancing. But some of the other teams...

This reminds me of years ago my Significant Other and I went to a high school basketball championship game. There were dancers and cheerleaders. We all forgot they were in high school--this wasn't a college basketball game. Their bodies and their dance moves were SO SEXY and SO GROWN. My S.O. was like "uh...I need to stop looking...I normally consider this a TURN ON...but I have to keep reminding myself these are children." I agreed 100%. It was really distracting because some people had stopped watching the game and were watching these "sexy" children dancers.

LOL. Some of the kids were dancing with these huge smiles on their faces. I guess the huge smiles were supposed to buffer the "sexiness."

It's just so weird! But I guess it's a dance thing. I've been to my younger cousins dance competitions and they were in little bras and fishnets and I just found it so odd. And I use to do competitive cheer, so I know it's WAAAAY easier to move, jump, flip, turn and dance in less clothing, but booty shorts, bras, fishnets and mini skirts are just a little much.

I remember seeing a dance with a costume like this and being SOOOO creeped out!

Yes, I have watched it. On the Lifetime website you can see the whole street battle broken up into 3 parts with less editing. IMO the banshee shrieker was what started the whole mess. Sore loser. The Divas did get outdanced. That happens.

Thanks for telling us. I didn't know it was online.

Yeah that Divas fan is who started it. The Divas can't really dance. That's why they had to turn their backs on the Dolls.

The Divas WERE way too sexualized, and their coach breeded that in them. the DDs went IN! Miss D is messy boots but she's growing on me. The girls' mothers are a trip but the stories with the families and the younger girls wanting leads and to become captain - that adds to the show for me.

All that aside, those girls GET IT IN! I think the most sexual the DDs were was dancing in the heels.

You're welcome, DrPhil. tld221, you can see all the episodes so far for free on mylifetime.com. I think there have been six so far. Kayla is my favorite. Miss D is pretty great too IMO.
