Hey dphies00! So great to see another D Phi E on here

Are you from the Eta Chapter at Pitt?
OK, I finally found my PR stuff, so here's a bunch you can do.
1. Create letter wearing days for your entire chapter to keep your name out there. Also, you can get these really inexpensive tote bags at craft stores and wal mart. You can make letters for them with some material and these great iron on kits they have which are like glue. Make the bags as a sisterhood event, and then carry your books in them on campus. Keeps your letters visible.
2. Whenever your chapter has an event, no matter how small or big, have your coordinator of PR write a press release and send it to the school newspaper. Also, if you can, send a photo with it. This works really well for philanthropy events!
3. Volunteer to do freshmen move ins and orientation. This is a great way to attract new women, as they are just getting to campus and aren't aware of any stereotypes that may exist.
4. Do a dorm storm to all of the women's rooms wishing them good luck from the sisters of Delta Phi Epsilon on mid terms or final exams and what not. Invite them to a coffee and cookie break or something similar in their dorm lobby as a way to meet women. Everyone loves free food
5. Take out little ads in your campus newspaper that congratulate your new members on joining D Phi E. Also, at the end of the semester, take out an ad wishing your graduating seniors good luck and letting them know how much they will be missed. Big sisters can also take out ads saying how proud they are of their little sisters and such. Finally, you can do an ad for when your new members get initiated. I know this might just be me, but on our campus, the only section of the paper anyone ever read was the classifieds
6. Put a banner on your house, if you have one (a house, that is) for your new member class. Have them paint one as a sisterhood activity with you all. You can put a crest on it, with letters and a unicorn and iris and that sort of thing. People who go by will see it, and your letters.
7. Join other campus organizations. These places are breeding grounds for new sisters, and with an in, you can really score a lot of girls.
8. If you have a website, make sure you keep it extremely current, and if you don't have one, make one!! You can use a free service like tripod.com or geocities.com which has an easy interface to work with, or you can go through your campus IS department.
These are just a few ideas, and some of them you might already do, but they were some that popped into my head immediately
Good luck!
Heather
