Should Mike Get His License Back?

After all the drama Mike Tyson has been through (rape conviction, biting Holyfield's ear off, and fighting Lennox Lewis OUTSIDE the ring) should he be allowed to continue boxing?

Here's the bottom line on Tyson.

He WILL fight Lennox within a year. The boxing commission is full of b.s. if they think they are giving boxing some credibility by not letting Tyson fight. Simply put, he draws in too much money and too much attention to not have him in the ring. It doesn't matter who has the belt, Mike Tyson will draw in more crowds and media attention simply because of who he is, with not even a mention that despite his getting older, he is still one hell of a boxer.

Most people are giving Tyson shit because he needs"help" or is "unbalanced", and that's complete b.s. Do any of us really care how "unbalanced" he is? When I put on boxing, I'm watching it for the sweet science and skill these guys bring into the ring, not to see whether or not they need psychological help.

Here's where being overly PC is hurting the sport. Do people honestly think that Tyson being in the ring now is what is messing him up? No, its the idiots he has surrounded himself with, a'la Don King and all the other freeloaders who live off the physical ability of fighters. If you want to see why Mike is so messed up, check out the neighborhood he grew up in, his family, his friends, his childhood. There are your problems. Don't throw all this shit at him for being overly aggressive now, he's a fighter, deal with it.

Not saying biting is cool, and yeah, his judgement is pretty poor, but, whatever, i want to see him fight, and could care less about his trials outside of the ring.

He should be banned fromfighting period. He's a wild animal, and all that money didn't buy him any class, dignity, humility, respect for others, etc. I liked Tyson when he first came out, but the last decade he has been a big disappointment. But it's about money, so he will fight I'm sure.

NO!!!!! I do not think that Mike Tyson should get his license back or whatever because he is simply out of control!!!

I feel as though most (if not all) of the stunts that he pulls are for attention and that he thinks he is above the law. If he can't follow simple rules, like not biting people's ears off, then he should be banned from doing any and everything that normal people are allowed to do.

At no point does he take responsibility for his actions. He was basically saying everything was okay until "the other guy tried to attack him."

Similarly after "the bite heard round the world" he totally dismissed his actions and was upset about the cut over his eye.

True, he is payed to go into a ring and beat ass, but he is indeed out of control. And when we allow profit to stand in the way of reason and right behavior we welcome ALL behavior.

If there is no limit, I would hope that none of these "let's consider this-and-that" people do not act surprised if he seriously injures or kills someone.

I think he is more of a child than an adult...a spoiled child. But when you are suddenly surrounded with all that glitters and sparkles, what do u expect? I think regardless of what happened he should get to box Lennox...esp. after watching what happened with Ali...the media can be a scary thing sometimes...causes u to believe all kinds of fallacies if are willin to fall 4 it...
