Do any alums wear spirit jerseys?
The chapter I advise is placing an order for spirit jerseys have asked the alum advisers if they'd also like to order. I like them, but are they just for collegiate members? Do any of the alums out there own and wear them?

What exactly is a spirit jersey?
The chapter I advise gives me recruitment shirts, and bid day shirts, and other random shirts all the time. I like free clothing

I have one from the chapter I advise. I graduated May 2010 from that chapter, but many of the other AAC members also have the spirit jerseys. I'll wear them to volunteer for events or to alum events.

This is a spirit jersey:
They are ALL THE RAGE down here at Clemson. Sorority ones, some that just say Clemson on the back, location ones, you name it they wear it. It's an extension of the baggy-shirt trend that's all the rage right now. And I know that ADPi just ran a national order that said "Alumna" on the back so there's at least some interest.

I want one with Indiana on the back but you have to order at least 6 at a time.

ahh, thanks ClemsonGirl. My students wear those. I think I would have to wear a layer under them or fear a strong wind would expose me. I don't know where I would wear a shirt like that, but if being offered to me, I'd take it. I figure I can wear almost anything to campus events, etc.

I am an alumna, and I have one that I wear regularly. I *love* mine--it is so comfy! I will likely get a second when I come across another color I like.

They're incredibly comfortable. I have 2 from when the chapter I advise did bulk orders and they're great for wearing to casual chapter events or just around the house. I also have a UVA jersey that I've worn to football games.

I have one and I love it! I'm 2000 miles away from my chapter and it says "Arizona State" on it. I love being able to rep my chapter from so far away

Thank you, everyone. I guess it's okay to order one, then. Although people tell me I look younger than I am, no one is going to mistake me for a college kid and I didn't want to look like (as we say in Philly) a smacked @ss if I wore a spirit jersey.

I've never heard of spirit jerseys or seen anyone ever wear anything like what is depicted above.
Must be a Yankee thing.

Definitely not a northern thing. It started as a huge trend at the southern schools first I believe
