New Chapter on Campus!
Hi everyone! It seemed like there hadn't been many new threads, so I thought I'd start one! I am a phi in the chi chapter at the University of Missouri, Columbia. This is our first year back at MU, we were the first women's fraternity on our campus, but our chapter was closed during world war two. We have 155 new members, and we are all very excited to join Phi Mu! I just wanted to say hi and see if anyone had any words of wisdom for our new chapter.
We are also trying to learn some songs, so if anyone wants to send me their favorite, we would appritiate it!

Congratulations
I hear you guys are doing great. This is my advice:
Come visit us up in Champaign!
Really, I think U of I is the closest chapter with a large house, so some of you girls should come on up.
I say this not because road trips are amazingly fun, but because you really can't fully understand of what you are a part until you have been to other chapters. It's when you go meet girls that you have never seen before, and you click with them just because you are a sister. Then you will realize how special the bond is, and what you really share.
Good luck with everything!

p.s. here's my favorite rush song: (coca cola theme for the melody)
"The sun will always shine the birds will always sing/ wherever there is fun there's always the real thing/ we love our phi mu sisters there always the one/ wherever there is phun there's always phi mu sisters/ do do do do do always phi mu sisters"

Our State Days are Missouri and Kansas, and it's at Zeta Lambda I think.
By the way, we were installed today! We are about to go celebrate, I just came home to change. It was awesome. We had an alum from Chi chapter who went to MU in the forties. It was really a great time.
Thanx to all the Chapters who sent us gifts, flowers, and cards! Also a special thanks to the Ladies of Zeta Lambda, and all the alum who came. It was great.
Oh yeah, Mary Jane Johnson, the national president was there to and she is great! It was very special to "shake her hand", and get my pin from her.
