Recruitment clothes...
Hi y'all!
My daughter, B(eloved) G(granddaughter) and I got a chance for a shopping girls' getaway last week. We headed to Nashville, home of great malls, and walked ourselves to death.
BG had her recruitment requirement list with her (remember the Great Pink Dress Crusade last year?); one of them was "Something Sparkly" or "Something Sequined", I don't know which one for sure. We all know how quickly "sparkly" or "sequined" can go downhill.
She is also President of the campus chapter of Silver Wings (the AFROTC auxiliary organization), and they require extremely conservative formal gowns for their banquets. She had worn the same dress three times, so I had told her we would try for a new version of that, too. She texted me from the formal department of Dillards, and thought she had found the dress for SW, I went over and agreed with her. While we were wandering that department, we just happened on "sparkly" and "sequined" AND tasteful. Best? Marked down from $169 to $50something. Several of her friends were shopping that same day, and texts were flying. They were all jealous.

That dress is gorgeous on her! And super flattering too, which is always important. It pains me to see girls in beautiful dresses that clearly don't fit them in the slightest and look terrible as a result.

Thanks! It was truly a find. We had a little surprise, the PTB are requiring black wedges instead of heels. But she found an unusual pair of wedges at DSW that will go perfectly with the dress. I'll try to find the pic she sent me and get it uploaded.
(and she's too aware of looks to wear an ill-fitting dress. I will stop short of saying "vain".)

Grateful Gramma...
FWIW, do you really want her name on every picture you show? I am the worst detective here on GreekChat, and I know her name now!

It's her first name. The smugmug account is mine, and her name is not the same as mine. I don't know how to do otherwise, though. I had thought about that, but I'm not so literate in how to post links to my smugmug account without showing the name. Help is always appreciated.
I did remove the links. Thanks.
