best all around
Alright, I'm the daughter of a Tri-Delt and I was wondering what they are like, overall, at FSU, UCF, USF, UF, and Auburn and Clemson if they have Tri-Delts there. I'm asking for looks, grades, personality, whether they party or not, basically overall reputation. THANKS!

The best thing you can do is get first hand information by posting this question to the Sisters of Tri Delta in their greekchat forum. Secondly, Its best really to decide what you want to get out of the school you plan on attending. I would say Academics are the most important, so go with the school thats best for the area you might want to pursue. Then when you get to that school find out first hand by getting to know the various girls from Tri Delta through Rush. Research other Sororities too so you can make a well informed decision. Its a life time decision. I'm sure your Mother is a great source of information as well.

Well the Tri-Delts at UCF are pretty cool girls. I have a few friends that are tri delts there. The best sororities there is ZTA KD and DDD. FSU they are ok...i'd have to say KD was the best at FSU. UF tri-delts are ok too...DG is the best at UF. And USF they are cool girls. Them and ADPi are the best there. This is based on partying and looks...i never ask them if they are good in academics..sorry :-)

Hey UNF I think its been awhile since you've been here, you forgot a major group!
The Tri-Delts here are a good group. Active around campus, pretty girls, good size etc, etc.
As far as reputation there's is very subjective depending on who you ask. I have heard the whole gamut about this group, so you just have to take a step back and see who is saying it and how much contact they have with the group. But really it can't be said enough.........go into rush with an open mind and follow your heart. Being a legacy is great, but not if it puts you in a group your not comfortable in. If you have anymore questions you can email me OK!

I am ZTA at UCF and my two best friends are Tri-Deltas. They are a great group of girls. They are one of top sororities at UCF.

A way to find out about the grade question is to look on the Tri-Delt website and see what chapters are getting scholastic awards, individually or whole chapter-wise. You can link to individual sites from there and check the women out a little bit, online anyway.
As far as the other things, just like everyone's said, that's very subjective considering who is saying it.
Also, this might be a silly question, but if there's a UCF and USF, why isn't there a UNF? (Or is there?)

Ya i went to USF my first year but that was like 4 years ago. I go down to visit once a year but Ybor is way too old for me. And yes there is a UNF.....i go there! :-) But there isn't a Tri-delt chapter here because 30 min away is Jacksonville Univ and they have a DDD chapter there. They are ok girls...ADPi's there are better though.

I go St. Johns Bluff to 9A to merril rd and all the way up to the JU entrance. You must be driving like 80mph if you can do it in 10 or lucky enough not to hit the traffic or stop lights. What sorority are you in at JU? Didn't know they had a local sorority there.

My two pennies:
Even though you are a legacy and im sure your mom would love nothing more than for you to get innitiated into her GLO, its important to realize that EVERY chapter is different, they all have their own girls, their own ways of doing things, while your mom may have loved her GLO SOOO much you might not be happy there. every university is going to have a unique chapter, what is special is that they all share the same bond.
my suggestion to u is to go through formal rush, get to meet ALL the sororities, and follow your heart.. you may be surprised at how you feel when u get to know each chapter. I know i was very surprised when i rushed. Im sure your mom will put a reccomendation at the chapter your going to attend. but still look at all the chapters, and go where u feel u will fit in.. this is not just for your college days.. it is for life, and the freinds you make here will follow you throughout your life. Make sure u can be yourself with the house you choose, and the rest will come easily
GOOD LUCK!

I'm from Florida, so I know about the nicknames given each of the schools. I've always heard that they call UF You're F---ed, because it's the most prestigious (and therefore most difficult) school in the state system.
localsororities, I did IB too! I'm from West Florida...I'm assuming you went to Stanton? I have a sister who graduated from there and talks about how big IB was there. Do you feel like it helped you at UF?
Anyway, I know I'm going to get at least one spiel about how it "doesn't matter what your sorority is like at other schools", but I don't know and I would like to know. What is AXO like at UNF, FSU, UF, and USF? My friends who attend these schools don't follow Greek life. I don't care how popular or unpopular they are...I just want to know.

Hey AlphaChigirl. AXO here is probably THE best sorority as far as the hot girls! They won our derby days this past year and for the most part they are awesome girls. I've hung out with a ton of AXO's since my pledge semester in 98. I haven't really met many alpha chi's at UF, FSU, but the ones i did meet were ok. I think UNF and Florida Southern are the best two alpha chi chapters in FL.
