Now that is weird... doublecheck to see if the file associations are correct for those files. Go to Windows Explorer, then select 'Tools' then 'Folder Options' and select the tab marked 'File Types'. I don't know what the file extension is for Adobe Photoshop files is called, but look for the file type 'Adobe Photoshop File' and be sure it matches to open with Adobe Photoshop.
Alternately, open Adobe Photoshop and see if those particular files can be opened by the program.
