Ok...I am disturbed. Did anyone else see MTV tonite? They have this show called Sex2K, and they had these people (mostly guys) who were caught up in this world of dressing up in mascot uniforms...like big giant stuffed animals, and had sex/or other things I dont want to mention in a public forum and for fear of triggering my gag reflexes. Apparently they meet online, and have these conventions...that turn into orgies...and everyone is dressed as big furry animals. Am I a big prude? Has anyone else heard of this? I will fully understand if this thread is deleted...but I had to ask! Im appalled!

I saw this!! I called a friend of mine screaming into the phone "Turn on MTV--you have to see these freaks!!!" She had seen the previews and new exactly what was on.
I sat there staring at the tv -I am sure my jaw was on the floor, and my head was cocked sideways with a dazed look on my face.

I was at work this afternoon and someone said something about MTV--one of the ladies in the office said "oh I saw a weird show on there last night--it really bothered me, but I could not change the channel-I was waiting to hear it was a joke." We laughed about the show--and then tried to search for "furries" on the internet so the guys in the office could see what the big deal was.

It was odd--very odd...

I'm just trying to figure out how people could have sex while wearing one of those big old mascot uniforms. Logistically, I can't wrap my mind around the concept. I guess that's good, though. The less I know the better

By the way Sarah, when I saw the name you gave this thread, I assumed it had something to do with Alpha Xi Delta since their nickname is "Fuzzies"! Imagine my surprise! I may not sleep very well now; thanks a lot!

I think from what I gathered....its mostly curious males with other curious males...who just kinda hump around until you know...lol i cant believe i just said that. my jaw is still on the floor.

I saw the preview and was disturbed. I guess I was lucky to have been at my boyfriends where there is no cable. I can't grasp the concept either but how sexy is the term plushie? I don't get it.

When I taught high school, a student was caught "having fun" with a stuffed California Raisin in a back room at the prom. The teachers who found him said he was really casual about it when they walked in.

To this day, I can't look at the Raisins.

Actually there is a big difference between people that ID themselves as Fuzzies or Plushies. One group enjoys dressing up or drawing animals (anthropomorphizing animals) for role play. Another group enjoys dressing as an animal for sex or using stuffed animals for sex toys.

All I can say is that I feel extremely sorry for the one kid's mom (A.K.A. Bea Arthur!). This poor boy has a fetish, which, when taken to such extremes, can be considered a mental illness. I think he has taken it to an unsafe level, and needs serious counseling. (Sorry, that's the pysch major in me talking!) But I definitely agree with everyone else, these people are WEIRD, and it totally grossed me out.
