Amherst College

Does anybody know what is the status of Amherst's Greek life? Are they banned recently, or what?

Amherst College, Amherst, MA.

We have our chapter there, according to our national, but when I tried to find out more about the chapter, it is said that Theta Delts were banned - for an unknown reason. Thus, I tried to find other Greek organizations: IFC, PanHellenic ... and found nothing.

I know Amherst College is big in residential housing etc, but I don't think the Greek life.

From what I know, there are no recogniized fraternities at Amherst. The only orgs there are unofficial and underground. Although according to www.greekpages.com , they have Delta Kappa Epsilon, Chi Psi, and Psi Upsilon. It's a shame because the first college fraternity house was built at Amherst College in 1875.
