Independence Day 2

It has been confirmed by Roland Emmerich that the Independence Day sequel will be coming out July 3, 2015 (19 years after the first one).

It was also confirmed that Will Smith will not be in the sequel.

Thoughts?

I'm still waiting for the sequels to "The golden Compass" and "The Last AirBender"....
Those would be better than another silly alien tries to destroy earth movie!

Because the only movies that are made nowadays are either remakes, sequels, or prequels. No one has any good, original ideas anymore.. or at least, they're not willing to try and come up with one and put it into production.
