Saturday Morning Cartoons 70's-80's
This did not happen too often in my household. Once in a blue moon I was allowed to watch Saturday morning cartoons. My favorite were: (in no particular order)
1. Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids (okay this is number 1 on my list)
2. Smurfs
3. Get-a-long gang
4. Street Frogs (I really like the theme music)
5. School house rock commericals ( I am just a bill sitting on top of a hill).
6. Super Friends (I still wonder how did Wonder Woman found her invisble jet. To this day it remains a mystery to me.)
*I know I am a big kid at heart.*

could you smurf me a cup of smurf?
I'm a big ol' kid, too. Cartoon Network is one f my favorite escapes.
My all-time are the "blasted Smurfs" as Gargamel would say.
Also:
1. Alvin and The Chipmunks
2. The Snorks
3. Gummi Bears - "bouncing here and there and everywhere!"
4. Superfriends
5. Captain Caveman - maybe there was a cartoon just for the Flintstones, but Captain Caveman was the bomb.
6. Thundercats - was that on Saturday or weekdays?
But is anyone bold enough to admit that they sometimes watch Saturday morning cartoons today? I love "Recess"!

I just need to vent, what is going on with today's cartoons??? They are nowhere NEAR as tight as they used to be back in the day. Saturday morning cartoon's don't even last half the morning anymore, back in the day (lol, like i'm old) cartoons were ALLLLLLLL morning!
Shooooooot, yes I still watch Saturday morning cartoons AND i watch the cartoon network...they play scooby doo, the flintstones, the jetsons etc...and i watch 'em...i LOVE me some X-MEN and Batman Returns (both of which i guess you would call new school, of course based on the old school originals)!

Well....let's see....
There were the Smurfs of course, the Monchichis (remember those little gorilla things?), the Superfriends (and I watch the Justice League on CN now!), Scooby Doo (watch the reruns on CN), learned about conjunctions by watching Schoolhouse Rock (Conjunction Junction, what's your function?), the Snorks, the Weekend Special (can you tell I spent my entire Saturday morning in front of the TV?), umm...I can't think of what else I used to watch, but I'm sure there were more.
Now I like Dexter (boy geeeenius), the Justice League (Wonder Woman and Hawk Girl kick butt!), the PowerPuff Girls, and the Proud Family. OK, so I'm a big kid at heart!

The 80s had THE best cartoons
I spent alot of my time in front of the tv as a kid. It was my "baby sitter" as my mom puts it.
I loved (in no particular order)
1. Silver Hawks
2. Masters of the Universe and She-Ra(My best friend was He-Man and I was She-Ra)
3. Voltron
4. Transformers (More than meets the eye). Cried when I saw the movie in the 3rd grade and Optimus Prime died.
5. G.I. Joe
6. Does anybody remember the cartoon where these teenagers go through a mirror and end up in the Flipside?
7. Smurfs
8. Get-along-gang
9. Snorks
10. Monchichis (I think I still have one of those ugly things)
11. Care Bears (Care Bear Staaaare)
12. Thundercats
I'm sure there are more that I just can't remember.
