Question Professional Dress Code

Happy Holidays Sisters!
I was recently elected Professional and Leadership Chairperson for the Alpha Theta Chapter. I am curious to how the other Chapters handle these positions and especially if yall have written dress codes for Professional Activities. If you do, I would greatly appreciate them as a starter for updating our current dress code policy. The material I was given is sparce and I'm looking for absolutly any ideas!

Thanks so much!

Beth-

I think it's great that you're jumping into this position with so much motivation and gusto. If I were in your shoes, I would start a discussion with the sisters and ask them what they feel is acceptable for different events. It may be as easy as defining "business casual" (khakis and a polo shirt) and "professional dress", and then prior to an event you could tell everyone to wear one attire or the other and have it understood by all.

I've heard that many chapters have local department stores come in for fashion shows, demonstrating the new trends in professional dress. This might be fun and spice things up a bit.

Best of luck.
