Thumbs up Phi Sigma Rhoers at it again...

Give it up for Phi Sigma! These young ladies are working hard towards Greater Service, Greater Progress!

The Phenomenal Rhoers of Phi Sigma Chapter have been extremely busy little butterflies! On Sunday, November 25, 2001, our Rhoers selected Angels ranging from ages 3 to 10 for the Project Angel Tree program at Ebenezer A.M.E. Church. Our Rhoers used their OWN personal funds to purchase brand new toys, games, and clothes for their Angels.

On Monday, November 26, 2001, our Rhoers spearheaded their "Winter Wishes" program at Thomas Johnson Middle School. Dr. Melvin Johnson, the principal at TJ, announced that the Rhoers and the TJ Student Government Association would be teaming up to collect items for the Salvation Army's Can U Care (can food drive), Toys-for-Tots, and Angel Tree Programs. The Rhoers collaborated with the Creative Arts/Physical Education Team and purchased items for yet another Angel, which was a 10-day-old baby girl. Their Winter Wishes program was a success. Our Rhoers, the staff, and students of Thomas Johnson Middle did an outstanding job of collecting toys, clothes, games, and non-perishable food items for the needy.

On Thursday, December 13, 2001, the Rhoers made holiday greeting cards for the residents of the Villa Rosa Nursing Home. On Friday, December 14, the Rhoers performed a concert and delivered their hand made greeting cards with candy canes to the Villa Rosa residents and staff.

Our Rhoers also volunteered on Friday, December 14, and Saturday, December 15, 2001 at Ebenezer A.M.E. Church to prepare and carry Christmas Baskets for the needy and elderly. The Rhoers also assisted with passing out Christmas toys.
