Hello sisters!
So happy that I found Greekchat! Gosh, I'm already obsessed with it...have 15 posts already and I just registered yesterday...haha. So, how are you guys doing? I'm a Theta in California, and I love it! There is nothing like Theta love and pride. My chapter sisters have been there for me through and through, and I cannot imagine my life without Theta!
Looking forward to chatting with you all...
Theta love,

Welcome, Angelina!
I too am SO proud to be a member of Kappa Alpha Theta. My sisters have been my shoulder to cry on when I'm upset, the ones who are there right when I've acheived something, the ones that I run to to tell a secret to or to celebrate. I would feel empty without my beautiful and sweet Theta sisters! Theta is everything that I've ever wanted in a sorority, and much, much more! I think at first I joined for rather superficial reasons...I thought that becoming a Theta would be great, since we have such a strong, strong rep around the nation, and because I would have so many friends all at once in college. It is true that we have a glorious reputation and that I made many friends, but now I realize truly what sisterhood is all about. I love Kappa Alpha Theta!
So happy to be a Theta,
Caitlin

Thanks, Caitlin!
I echo the same feelings that you have for Theta...seems that all us Thetas love our organization, and rightfully so!!!
For me, I preffed Kappa and Tri-Delt along with Theta, and while the decision was difficult, there was no doubt in my mind that I just HAD to go Theta. My mom was/is a Kappa in college (now she's Alum) so it was really difficult telling her that I might not become a Kappa after all. Before Rush, I was intent on becoming KKG since my mother was one. But when I visited the Theta house and met my future sisters...I was like, "Wow. THIS is what I want to be...Kappa Alpha Theta." My parents have come to accept my choice and have even come to embrace it! They treat my chapter sisters like their own daughters, even .
Glad to meet you Caitlin and hope to talk to you more soon!!
Theta love always,

Hey Angelina!
I'm so happy that your parents are glad with your Theta decision . I know what you mean, parents can stick you with their own expectations some times! It must have been really hard for you to break your decision to them, esp. since your Mom fully expected you to go Kappa.
It was Chi O or Theta for me. But without a doubt I put Theta as number one on my list because I knew Theta was IT for me, I could not go anything else!
Theta love always,
Caitlin
