Thank you!
I went to college in the 70's and neither I nor anyone I knew was in a sorority. Flashforward 30 years and three children. My son called me after he had been at college for a couple weeks and said "by the way, I joined a fraternity last night". Boys! When my two daughters were going to go through sorority recruitment I knew it would be different and I (and they) would need some help. That's when I found this forum. I stalked a lot and asked some dumb questions. But you always had the answers. Daughter No. 1 had a rough start with her sorority (no, it wasn't her first choice!), but stuck it out and proudly wore her letters all through college. Daughter No. 2, as of last night, is a proud member of SDT at Illinois. So thrilled for her! But my proudest moment came during second rounds, when a girl behind her at Stabucks was in tears after receiving some harsh cuts. My daughter consoled her by saying "You only need one." Wise words that I learned from some wise ladies on a forum. Thank you!
