Kite Items
So, I did try to search for a thread about kite items, but didn't come up with anything. If I missed it, then sorry.
Anyway, it has been several years of seeing owls, keys, ladybugs, etc pop up on everything. While those items are adorable, they just don't take the place of our beloved kite.
Imagine my surprise to find this at Target yesterday? I immediately bought two cases, only to open them up and discover that all the cans were identical, and none of them had kites on them. Instead, I had 24 cans of fireworks. Oh, well. The packaging enough made my day.

This Theta pillow with the kite symbol on one side and her letters/monogram on the other was commissioned for a new initiate by her Kappa grandmother and Pi Phi aunt.

Plan it as a wall-hanging and mute the black to greys. Even with a black background, as long as you have gold included in the motif fabric, the kite and letters could alsoinclude other colors. Most of the pillows I have done are not predominantly both school or GLO colors although either/or are somewhat apparent in the color selection.

Bump! With spring comes the plans for Fall recruitment and the need for pretty and stylish kites to help with extending our brand by our individual members. Thank heavens for Lilly P. but there's got to be more! IOW: I'm sick of fleur-di-lis and owls all over the place in popular fashions.

~8 years ago there was a top/pants set produced by one of the popular children's clothing companies (children's place? gap? sadly, i don't remember anymore.) it had a kite with tail appliqued on the shirt, and the coordinating pants patterned with circles with little lines through them (thetas). UN.BE.LIEVABLE. it *had* to have been a theta designer.
I agree there's got to be more out there.. to be honest, I detest the lilly pattern, and abhor the violets & diamonds being promoted as pansies & kites. Time for something new & refreshing!

Going to eebay to search. Last year Gymboree had a cute DZ themed print, pink and green turtles, and I was very jealous!

Perhaps we don't need to wait on others to do it for us? I'll post some of the out of production items below.

Sadly, my oldest daughter will be too big for a 6 this summer. She'll be more like a 6X or 7. So it's all yours! My youngest will be more like 6-9 months. So I'm still looking! I'm browsing pansy prints now...

Spoonflower has kite themed fabrics available. Don't like what you see? Create your own fabric there too.
