I believe that Bill Clinton is one of four U.S. Presidents who was not a member of a social fraternity.

Both George Bush's are Dekes.

Okay. Clinton went to Georgetown, at that time (and I think even now), NIC/NPC groups aren't allowed on campus. But, he is APhiO.

Bill Clinton is an alumnus of Alpha Phi Omega and pledged at Georgetown University (Mu Alpha chapter). He was a pledge in 1966.

Social greeks are not allowed on the GU campus and haven't been since the early 50's.

At that time those joining Alpha Phi Omega had to have been scouts or scouters. Since Bill Clinton had not been a Boy Scout (he was a cub scout) he joined the local council as a scouter in order to join (This was fairly common and one of the reasons that the scouting requirement was removed the following year.)

He pledged the same semester as one of the national presidents of Alpha Phi Omega, Jerry Schroeder and was helpful in guaranteeing the mortgage for our current fraternity HQ during his time as Arkansas Governor.
