where do you order your favorite greek clothing?

i am pledging a sorority and it wasnt my first choice, but i am open minded and giving it a chance. initiation is coming up soon and the routine is that our bigs make all of our shirts for us to wear. the thing is, is that everyone in the sorority uses puffy paint around the edges of the letters so it sticks to the fabric. this is not my style and i think it looks ugly and tacky, mostly because it looks sloppy and uneven. i love the shirts that are ordered online and look perfectly symmertrical and sewn really pretty. I was wondering if anyone has really good websites that have really pretty patterns for shirts/totes etc. I was thinking i would be able to send some websites to my big and stuff like that. other sororirties shirts look sooo nice and then i see mine with the puffy paint and it just doesnt look good! please help! i looked at customgreekthreads and they have nice things, you can post pictures of ur shirts and the websites u got them from too! thanks

Why be so negative regarding a basic question?

Could have easily just said.
"I just pledged a sorority & big/little is coming up. I have no idea where to buy sorority para (which considering you found this site via a google search, that is hard to believe), & want to buy something great for my big!!!

Yipppeeee..... nothing negative.

// going to sit back down now

I usually do either
somethinggreek.com (which has specials, like 2 shirts for $30- perfect for big/little letters)
or greek101.com

My big bought me a totebag from customgreekthreads.com and the straps broke. (although it could have been from me using it to carry giant books to class.) I know some of my sisters use them for their shirts. They usually take a lot longer to get your stuff to you. It took over a month for my bag to come in. (Just what I've experienced and stuff to keep in mind.)

Send a message via AIM to frangiblefacade
greekcreations.com and greekgear.com are usually where I order my stuff. jennabenna.com is a little bit pricier, but they have Vera Bradley fabrics which I love.

Except it's the other way around. She wants to tell her big where to buy a shirt to give her rather than letting her big make (a "tacky") one for her as is chapter custom.

maykel, the best help I can give you is to clue you in that however tacky you think the shirts are, they would be rivaled in tackiness by what you are proposing. Nothing says "I'm too good for the rest of you" better than letting your big know up front that you don't like the chapter tradition, that you don't want her to make a shirt for you and that you would rather tell her where she can buy you one more to your liking.

My advice is accept the gift graciously and wear it at least a few times to show that you appreciate the thought that went into it. Then buy yourself some letters you like better. Later on, when you're on the other side of the Big-Little equation, perhaps you can suggest that people rethink the tee-shirts with puffy paint.

I also had one more bookmarked on my old computer, but I lost it. It was great for jackets! D:
