Um.....

Kappa Kappa Kappa? What were they thinking?

"Guess what, Mom and Dad? I joined a GLO!"

"Which one honey?"

"KK..."

Or maybe that's what they were going for...maybe I'm missing something.

What is scary is that I've seen some listings for so-called "Kappa Kappa Kappa" pins on eBay.

Hey -- I noticed that you didn't include Delta Theta Phi. It's a law fraternity.

By the way, that's an AMAZING list!!

yea..i'd say you are missing something...I'm sure they named their org for reasons known to them...maybe others...but so what if it is kappa kappa kappa. I highly doubt that they walk around saying, "yea, I'm in KKK." Maybe they just say Kappa Kappa Kappa....ever think of that one?

anyway...that is one awesome list!

tri kaps?!?!

There was a fraternity called Kappa Kappa Kappa. They were founded before the civil war. The KKK wasn't founded until afterward. When the KKK started to gain populatiry/noterity in the northeast (where most of the kappa kappa kappa chapters were) they changed there name. I read that i think in Bairds. They aren't connected to tthe kkk though.

Exclamation

You are correct Billy. The formation of Kappa Kappa Kappa at Dartmouth predates the formation of the Ku Klux Klan by at least 15 years. They always go by Tri-Kap, and NEVER use KKK, including the letters on their house (they have Tri-Kap instead). Plus, the house has many members who are Asian. So much for the white supremacy theory.

Here's an article about them. http://www.thedartmouth.com/article....d=200105100201

Chi Kappa Sigma is a local fraternity on Brown's campus...they used to be Kappa Sig, so now they call themselves "X Kappa Sig". Creative, eh?

I think there's an MCGLO called Delta Xi Pi...I'll find their URL, or maybe it's Delta Xi Phi...I'm spacey.

Great job! I didn't know there were that many of us!

Same here. You can add Sigma Lambda Upsilon to the list, as well.
