Opinions greatly appreciated :)

I'm sorry this is so long, but I'm trying not to leave anything out so I can get the most comprehensive advice!

I'm a freshman at a school with a smaller Greek life (only five panhellenic sororities) and just went through spring recruitment at what is, as I've seen and heard, the top sorority. Recruitment was informal and consisted of a basketball game, a dinner out and a pajama gathering.

I already have a friend in the sorority, she's who told me about all about it and recruitment in the first place. After meeting all of the other sisters, I would absolutely love to join them for many reasons from their obvious genuine bonds to their cancer philanthropy (my mother is currently fighting it.)

As it was explained to me from my friend, every sister gets a vote on who they want to give a bid to and we'll find out within a week. The last event was Thursday and they have chapter meetings on Tuesday, so I feel like that's when the voting will take place. They only have room for four girls, and eleven to fifteen rushed.

So my question is this: is there something I can/should be doing now to improve my chances? Besides my facebook, which has always been check-proof. I was thinking of sending an email saying how much I enjoyed getting to know them and would love to be a sister, but didn't know if that would be too much.

I wouldn't get too freaked out about this. Sending a thank you for being invited to a party is always a nice thing to do, but in this case I would only send a thank you to the sister who invited you, and only then as an actual thank you. You can't control voting, and since you don't know their voting rules, there's no point in losing sleep over it. Hopefully it will work out but if it doesn't, you can always try again later either through formal or informal rush.
