OK so I went to Chicago for a Model United Nations conference the weekend before thanksgiving and we went on the train. As I was walking off the train, I was wearing my AGD windbreaker and this older woman was like "Does that say Alpha Gamma Delta" and i was like "yes it does" and she goes "I'm an Alpha Gam too, from Chi chapter" and so we chatted for a bit. She was soo sweet!! It was such a neat way to meet a sister!! And it also sparked really interesting conversation at dinner between me and the people I was on the trip with who weren't greek and my friend Mike and I who were the only greeks! I think we convinced than that it's best to be greek!
Speaking of Chi Chapter, I was very saddened to hear that they are closing the chapter and are re-establishing it in 3 years. I guess their numbers have been very low.
That is SOOO sad!! I hope I can help them reestablish in 3yrs. I'll be up in Lansing working for the state democratic party hopefully! A girl I graduated with was a sister there
I'm very sad to hear about the chapter closing. At least there is a plan already in the works to reestablish it. I am sure that when we come back, the chapter will be better than ever!
I really hope things work out when Chi Chapter re-establishes. IHQ would probably never close their chapter indefinitely being that Emily designed their house. It hold too many memories!
It is amazing where you meet alums. Not only is my 3rd grade teacher an Alpha Gam, but so is one of the paralegals I work with. Today I was talking about my chapter at work, and we come to find out she is an Alpha Gam Alum!! Small World!
