Passing the gavel...

As many of you know, I am a Division Vice President.

I went to a Chapter Meeting at one of my chapters last night. It was a great night to attend since one of our consultants was in town, and it also was a formal "Ritual" meeting to install a new slate of Chapter officers.

The outgoing men did a great job over the past year, and I congratulate them. The new officers are committed to continue the award winning tradition of this chapter -- and do an even better job.

In my comments at the end of the meeting, I also had to say a few words of appreciation for the Chapter Advisor who drives well over 100 miles round trip weekly to the Sunday night Chapter meetings -- and often in between for other functions.

With all of the problems in the Greek System and chapter closings, it is most encouraging to be affilliated with the men in this chapter, and especially its leadership.

For all of the rest of you who may be taking new positions in your chapters -- good luck, and thanks in advance for your quest for excellence.

For those of you who are graduating, our Fraternal Oath -- and I suspect yours as well -- pledges life long loyalty and dedication to the Fraternity. Your fraternal experience doesn't end with your Commencement. In many ways, it should be a new beginning. Be an alumni voltuneer and help your undergraduate brothers and sisters receive the same benefits you did during your college years.

I am honored to be associated with all of you.

Fraternally your brother,
DeltAlum
