My parents and grandparents were big fans of 60 Minutes when I was a kid and I remember enjoying Andy Rooney's rants back then. I continued to watch him through the years and watched his final episode a few weeks ago with my son. I was surprised to hear of his death so soon after that final episode although I suppose I shouldn't be surprised to hear about the death of a 92 year old. RIP Andy, you entertained me for my whole life.

RIP - Used to watch him a lot in my younger days - haven't seen 60 Minutes in ages. Don't know why particularly. I would like to think if I lived to be 92 I'd still be active and doing something I loved and apparently he was.

A student at Colgate before getting drafted to serve in the Army during World War II, Andy Rooney initiated into Sigma Chi. The world lost another great man. RIP.
