So...
My roommate just woke me up.....
his bag with his papers that are due this week (grades depend on them), and my wallet (ALL my ID i have down here at school) with attached keys (dorm, and ONLY set of car keys), and my rather expensive TKE jacket are all missing
The kicker?
Written on the door, both computer monitors, the TV, and the microwave in black marker: FUCK TKE
so, he's screwed probly out of a grade in a couple classes.
I'm screwed out of a bunch of money (can't get into my car now) and a bunch of hassle (have to wait for ID in the mail)
any ideas?

where did you wake up at??
I hope you will report this to the campus police. This is serious sh*t and I hope the as*holes that did this get caught.
Does the TKE chapter there have any particular fraternity who dislikes TKE? It's most likely them. :P If you guys have hoes that sometimes hang out at other fraternity houses, (and if they are more loyal to you guys) let them be a spy.

1. Call the police. Report everything that's missing, that's been vandalized and damaged.
2. Breathe. I know you're angry right now and want to blame AB or XYZ's or whoever for stealing your stuff, but stupid angry retribution isn''t going to solve anything right now, let the police take care of the problem, and let the law come down on their heads. Lashing out will just get the fraternity in trouble.
3. Talk to the Pylorites and the Hypo. Ask the Pylorites what you can do to beef up security in your dorm. Was your door locked last night? Do you have your things secured? Who do you think may have been responisble. Talk to the Hypo about how you're feeling right now, work things out, and move on.
Stuff can be replaced and monitors can be washed off(i'd reccomend windex or 409). The police report will lend your rommate credence when he tells the profs "my backpack was stolen".
Good luck with everything, and I hope you find it all. But it's stuff. Stuff can be replaced no problem. Its the people in our lives that matter.

OK...one thing i didn't mention....my cigarettes were gone, and the ash tray dumped all over the room....
We called the RA on duty, and she called Public Safety. While he was here taking information and such, another RA popped his head in the room and asked if my name was Jason. I said ya....apparently he found my wallet and keys in one of the toilets (or someone did....workin on figurin out who, since it might be who did it). Housekeeping was informed to be on the lookout for the rest of the stuff, and found my jacket in one of the toilets on the other side of the hall from where the keys were found.
Neither one of us can figure out who would have done this, and my roommate's bag (passport, 45 pg paper, rather expensive books, and some personal things) are still missing.
We're not exactly recognized on campus yet, and the other fraternities are kind of mixed in their opinions of us. There are a couple that would probably have members that would do this kind of thing, but the problem is that there aren't many greeks in the residence hall i live in. I have the 2nd floor RA lookin into it (inactive brother) and my little brother, who lives on 10. Also asking around, lettin ppl know to keep a lookout for stuff like this...hopefully we'll find who did this.

I hope they get caught! Just wash all your stuff real good! Hope the toliets were not used then. Did public safety try to get any prints? Can the"fuck TKE" be erased pretty easy? They will get caught and if they do belong to a fraternity make sure their nationals finds out about it so they get the boot.

LOL prints?
Public Safety doesn't know how to do anything like that....when i mentioned just randomly that my cigarettes were gone too, he was like "what kind?" when i told him he goes "oh yeah...not good" just like the deputy on Andy Griffith....
Yes, the stuff all came off of everything in the room, but not off the door. Unfortunately, now anyone who walks by my room sees "FUCK TKE" in huge letters
Anyway...i really do hope we find out who it was. We both want to know why he did it first off, and then we'll inform the president here and their nationals if this person is indeed in a fraternity. Lets just hope myself and my roommate are cooled down enough by then. This isn't exactly the first time someone has done this...about a month ago someone scribbled all over a poster i had on the door. They marked out the crest, and wrote "FAG OTS" on it....obviously they can't spell.
On a different note....i just got the crap scared out of me. Someone lit a bottle rocket that exploded right outside my window

Just curious but...did you guys LOCK YOUR DOOR?
Lots of people in the dorms keep their doors unlocked- who knows why!! It's not like you know who in your dorm will steal and who you can trust. Most certainly- you don't know who walks down your hall.

can you call your campus housecleaning or work services to have them repaint/clean/replace your door?
If you have a painted door 409 or some other hard cleaner will take marker off of it. My freshman year, someone thought it would be funny if they wrote PENIS! on our door. riiiiight. 409 and some elbow grease did the trick after a while

Try Greased Lightning. Works wonders.
At the very least put poster board on it and tape over it- temporarily.

Yes, we lock our door....he's not sure if he shut it all the way or not when he went to breakfast this morning.....
The door-wood. It's not painted or anything, and nothing we've tried will get it off. Hopefully housekeeping will be able to do something about it sometime.......as long as we're not charged or anything for "damaging school property"....
