Quantity or Quality?????
I didn't want to do:
I founded my own Sorority in the late fall of 2008. There is only one chapter (another chapter in the making) and we have 6 active members in the Alpha Chapter. The other founder and I, founded the sorority in one of the biggest cities in America. There are a lot of different GLO's in this city. Very true, I could have joined a GLO that was already founded and established but I couldn't see my self wearing those letters nor fitting in with the other females. It has taken a lot of hard work but I'm super proud of how far my sorority has grown and where my sorority is going.
Now I have 2 members that don't seem to understand the meaning of Hard Work, Perseverance, and Sisterhood. During Intake, they did what was asked of them but once they gained membership there attitudes/characters changed (its was like a deer in bright head lights). These sisters of mine barely keep in contact with the other sisters (remind you its only 4 in the the Chapter not including them 2, so its not that many people to keep in contact with), its always an excuse when it comes to business or sisterhood for my org, they are always LATE, they pay there dues late or wont pay them, and won't follow the rules. I do understand that my sorority is fairly new and we have a lot to learn when it comes to running a business but I have been doing a really good job so far as the President of my sorority.
The other founder and I have implemented rules and implemented rules for the rules (I hope that makes sense because it does to me). I need to know some suggestions to help them (make them) follow the rules because I don't want to lose them but I won't tolerate the mess any longer. I do have a rule set that after you haven't followed the sorority rules for a period of time that you VOLUNTARILY DENOUNCE YOUR LETTERS. I don't want to do this because I genuinely care about my 2 sisters but business is business.
I wanted to know what people thought and if they have some suggestions for me.
