A convicted felon has stepped forward to claim he was behind the 1994 robbery and shooting of Tupac Shakur that fueled the bloody rivalry many blame for the rapper's murder two years later.

Dexter Isaac, now serving a life sentence for murder, told AllHipHop.com that he robbed Shakur outside the Quad Studio in Manhattan in November 1994 on the orders of hip hop management mogul James "Jimmy Henchman" Rosemond.

He didn't kill Tupac. Tupac died in 1996. Unless he used a time-release bullet, he didn't kill Tupac.

Um this guy didn't claim he killed Pac. He claimed he shot him in 1994. Pac was convinced that Biggie was behind it, which is how the feud started.

Further fueled by Biggie's "Who Shot Ya?" I always thought releasing the song was bad timing but people probably read more into that than necessary. Tough call but they both died because of dumb mess.

Always my fav Biggie song. Tupac was a better emcee, though.

And then Tupac's response:

Honest mistake. The media knows that people will think what you thought. The media knows people care more about who killed TuPac than who more randomly shot him in 1994.

There are a lot of articles on this and only a couple say "shot...in 1994" in the title or intro. People would have to really be paying attention to the article and remember that Pac was shot in '94 but killed in '96.
