Gift ideas for 17 year old

Hi everyone,

My niece is about to be Confirmed and will also turn 17 soon. I'm looking for gift ideas for her. I'd like to get her a nice piece of jewelry but I'm not sure what brands are popular with her age group. I wear a lot of Chamilia, James Avery or Brighton but not sure these translate to the younger crowd. I'd like to get her something that she'll be able to continue to wear in college.

I wouldn't be worried about brand as just getting something that matches her personality. Obviously, a cross would be apropos. If she's Scottish or Irish, a Celtic knot or claddaugh or something would also be nice.

What about the Tiffany initial? I bought one for my niece when she was 12 and she still wears it most days, at 17.
