Congrats to you and ZTA! There is no ZTA at my campus, but I've always *loved* "Seek the Noblest" as a motto! Thanks for posting this so quickly, too!

Congrats! Though I am glad that you've reflected a bit and realized that you maybe wrote some others off for the wrong reasons. I do find it ironic that sometimes PNMs say that a sorority had a weird/odd mix of girls, because I think they tend to think of one sorority as the "______" sorority (fill in the blank with whatever: blond, religious, scholarly, etc), yet once they actually become familiar with the Greek system, they realize that diversity in a sorority is one of the best things.

But congratulations! I hope you're very happy there!!!

Congrats on ZTA!

I find it odd that ranking was performed the way it was - I don't recall any system having PNMs rank the bottom three or bottom two. I guess listing sororities 1-12 as #1, with numbers 13, 14, and 15 ending up as #2,3 and 4 is ultimately the same as ranking only your bottom three, but it seems so negative. Instead of PNMs focusing on the positive attributes of the groups, they're forced to think of the groups in terms of their negative aspects (or lump the groups into 'least favorites' instead of 'favorites'). It just seems to put the PNMs in the wrong mind-set. Maybe it's just me. Is this kind of ranking a new trend?

I'm guessing it's to make it easier for the PNMs to understand - and so they don't stress about the order they write the other 12 down in. Even though it doesn't matter, I'm sure there are PNMs convinced that it does.
