Delta Zeta colony?
Delta Zeta is coming to UTC next semester. Can anyone tell me how new sororities go about recruitment?

Every sorority tends to structure colony recruitment differently.

Thanks! I'm worried about missing out on things, like getting to have bigs.

Well, you need to get a bid first. Colonies usually have "twins" or alumnae bigs.

I don't know how DZ does things, but I have heard of some colonies of other sororities having "twins" within the colony so that they get to have a similar type of experience (ex: you make gifts and leave clues for your twin and get to have "twin revealing."
However, every sorority does things differently with colonies so you may or may not have that.

When our chapter recolonized, older members took younger members as Bigs and Littles (sister-mother and sister-daughter)

Ok sorry I'm a little confused on the twin thing. If Patty and Sally are twins and Patty is leaving clues for Sally (she has to know who to give it to right?) and Sally is leaving them for Patty; wouldn't they both know who their twin already was? Or does only one twin know, but then who decides which one knows and which one doesn't? Sorry I'm sure I'm missing something here, but right now I'm very very confused.

you might not know who your twin is, but you leave clues as to who YOU are- usually the person who paired everyone up knows who is in each "pair" and coordinates the gifts and stuff so that they get to the right person.

Ok thanks for clearly that up. That makes perfect sense and I probably should of been able to figure it out, but it's almost exam week here. My brain is fried and I just want to curl up in my bed for a few days lol.
