Trashy reality tv. It always makes me feel better about myself to laugh at other people.
Does it make me a horrible person? Maybe. Does it make me feel better about myself? Definitely.

Trash tv can be awesome. 
ETA: 30 Rock is my non trash tv cheer up favorite.

Drink a glass of wine or champagne
Watch Arrested Development (that's my go-to show for cheering up, but anything that makes you laugh)
Get a good night's sleep

movie and popcorn-I've been known to go by myself if I don't have anyone to go with at the moment. It's dark and you're not talking anyway.
