repetition repetition repetition. The Greek Alphabet song should have it in your head in about 5 minutes.

And using to instead of 2?
Why do I think a really great way to learn the Greek alphabet is going to be revealed to us soon?

And isn't this the single easiest thing you do/did as a new member/pledge? I mean, really, it's 24 letters and most of them have a direct correlation to most of the letters you presumably already know. Learning 10 founders' names was vastly more difficult.

I agree .. in addition to the 10 founders (which I can still recite after 40 years) we also had to learn the names of the members on national council .. now that was hard.
I even have an old pledge manual where the pledges in the 30s had to learn all the established chapters and their founding dates.

Yep. We learned national founders and charters, plus all of the established chapters and locations during a car ride to a conference. That was rough.
We also learned the entire chapter roll up to that point. The Greek alphabet was the least of my concerns.

"Alphabeth" sounds like a new character on a children's show who's formed out of all the letters of the alphabet.

You know, i don't know why. We learned it to sort of a singsongy phrase, not even quite a song. But though I was never hazed, I've tested myself on the whole match thing for kicks... I can probably still say it twice without getting burned. And surely once with total clarity.
