I was just wondering about this type of recruitment. Alpha Xi Delta is represented on some of these types of campuses (RIT, Embry-Riddle, are 2 smarty-pants schools I can think of) and I've wondered what it's like trying to drum up interest for sorority life. Since they're smaller campuses, I can't seem to gauge what percentage is interested, without doing actual research that is. Maybe you could post your recruitment story for an opposing example to the huge SEC recruitments. Obviously grades won't be an issue, but what do you feel were your strengths and weaknesses as compared to what you THOUGHT they were looking for?
Your reasoning for going through recruitment seems the exact right thing for this type of campus. You have to be able to chill and get away from the intensity of your classes from time to time, and everyone wants to make those lifelong friendships we all heard you're supposed to get during college.
But your post is very timely. I literally had a post written and decided not to click POST.
Good luck with recruitment!
