You do realize there was no point in editing out the name of the sorority in your post considering what your handle is right?

I think a much bigger issue is the lack of proper grammar and spelling which is going to hinder you far more than your lack of membership in DST or any other GLO. Get educated..then worry about socializing.

hender is a Spanish word.
(transitive) To split, to cleave apart
(transitive) To crack into pieces
(transitive) To mar

I'm going to answer all your questions with a yes.

Question from someone who's not a regular: What's the difference between a troll and a sock puppet?
(I know what a troll is, but I haven't heard sock puppet anywhere outside of GC.)

Also, why can't they be the cute little toy trolls with the nifty hair?

What is it with people these days? Is it the school system? Do they not teach grammar? Is it text-speak ruining skills they've already learned? Someone please explain to me why so many people come across as illiterate here?? How are they getting accepted to college and passing classes???

Sock puppet = alternate identity or user name created by an existing member for whatever number of reasons.

No, we don't teach grammar. It's not "in style." I teach English and French in Texas and the fact that we will get in trouble if we are caught teaching grammar rather than using the whole language approach makes me grind my teeth at night!

Is it because teachers have to prepare the kids for standardized tests? I vividly remember grammar at every grade level. I loved diagramming sentences.

That is most unfortunate. Written communication is so important, especially in the digital age.
