Cool Bridesmaid help

Ok, I'm standing up in a wedding next Friday. I have no clue what to do with my hair. It's just below my shoulders and kinda straight. The dress is a cute plum and its a "tank" style top. Any ideas?????????

You can't go wrong with a simple chignon or a French twist. Also, if you straighten your hair completely, a pretty beaded headband looks very elegant.

Ask the bride if she has a preference. If there is more than one bridesmaid, the bride sometimes wants there to be a look of uniformity. If not.. do it however it makes you look great!

I wish she would give some guidance! We can "do whatever". We don't even have to get our hair done but I'm not going to mess with it when pictures will be around forever!

I'd actually get it done, if I were you...and get it done up...
even if someone you know does it instead of in a salon.

Because, you'll be partying and dacing all night long, and your gonna want something that's going to hold and if it's up off your shoulders and neck it wont be so hot and you wont feel sweaty and icky. I'd definately get it up, so it's out of the way and you can worry less about your hair all night and more about having fun!

I agree with Greeklawgirl, you can't go wrong with a simple french braid , bun or twist. I also say flip through some magazines and see if theres something you like and then get the hairdresser to mimic the design . Since you said your hair is straight, I am not sure if you'll know what I talking about but the feather design is cute, Feather I mean it's real light weight looking, and its semi wavy but not curly curly. If I find a picture on the net about what I am talking about , I'll post the link. But deffinetly flip through some mags and see if there s something u like. Good Luck and Have a great time at the wedding

I don't necessarily agree with the updo thing. This might sound callous but you really have to think of how you'll look in pictures. I hate the way i look with my hair back in pictures so for my bro's wedding, i hate it had it separated in sections on the top into a bunch of tight little twisties . it looked great and was pretty fancy.

If you like the way you look in pics with your hair up, I agree with the idea of a french twist. You can't go wrong with one of those!
