Heard of them? Yes.
Know anything else about them? No.
I'm not sure whether your question is about how well known they are or if you're questioning whether they're a legitimate organization or if you're wanting more information.
If it's the first, you shouldn't care about that, the second and third I'd recommend contacting them directly.

Interesting thread considering "someone else" came here to bash them...

I have had a VERY bad experience with a community based sorority before, I dont want to name names, but their motto was/is "Sisterhood through Motherhood" and based out of Memphis, TN. some of the ladies really did understand the meaning of Sisterhood, but the majority were horrid!!!
if you'd like details, Ill gladly share them on private messages.
So, that is why I am here...and to meet some really nice ladies!!!

The OPs post history shows she was looking to start a community sorority but was failing at searching for one. Now that she's found one, lets aim for being at least mildly supportive here.
/drama is fun when it's here, trying to create it is fail.

We have decided to make it a non collegiate sorority because we feel that a college education should not be required to develop a sisterhood and to give back. We have been working on putting this organization together for several weeks now and feel we are ready for recruitment. Only problem is we don't know what steps to take to get this project up and running. I'm asking for some advice on how we can start promotions and recruitments. Any advice will be helpful. Thanks in advance.

I'm kind of confused. How does a sorority that focuses on motherhood fulfill any of the requirements you mentioned in your earlier posts?

This, however, is a good point. I'm strongly leaning towards our OP being immature (hence the expectation of immediate responses) and a poor communicator about what she is looking for with a sorority.

The main focus of the sorority is not motherhood there main focus is community service. The founders of the sorority and the majority of its members are all mothers. The organizations they focus on, such as March of Dimes, is what basically got my attention. I am a mother of two young children. My first child was delivered by emergency c-section due to lack of oxygen and when I was pregnant with my second child I went into preterm labor at 26 weeks. Luckily I carried him full term. When I went on the website (weeks ago) and saw March of Dimes it caught my attention because my children would have been March of Dimes babys if not for my wonderful doctors.

Immature? No not at all! Although I never mentioned the fact that I was a mom, I put my children above all else. Sigma Beta Xi is a motherhood sorority but that is not what I was basing my sorority off of. They also promote education towards women who didn't or couldn't go to college. If you read my prior post this is what i said would be a focus point of my organization. The fact that they are a motherhood sorority gives it an extra spark. Also my expectation was not for an immediate response. While in the process of gathering information about other sororities I came upon there site (weeks ago) and sent an application of interest and still haven't received a reply.

Unique&Gifted, we can't help you.
It is bad form to use an organization's contact info (there's contact info on more than one website) and then come here to express your impatience and beg for assistance.

I did not come to this site to express my impatience and beg for assistance. All I asked was if anybody has ever heard of the organization. I have been to several of there chapter websites, sent emails and placed a phone call to the headquarters. I dont understand how you can determine that as me being impatient. If an organization took you weeks to reach back out to you, once you received a call, would you want to invest your time and money into something that isnt trust worthy?

Point being.... I came to this site asking if they were legitimate because I do not want to invest time and money into and org that isnt... I should have made that clear from the start.
