I was wondering if there were others in here that could help me out with this problem. I am a Theta Xi at the U of Illinois. We are one of the biggest and best houses on campus yet I can never buy things with my letters on it. Even the smaller chapters on campus always have things like pint and shot glasses readily available. I tried going online, but I find that many sites do not offer things for my house. Are there any other XIs out there who know what I am talking about and can help me? Or any one else who can relate?

I am an ASA and we are one of the smaller groups nationally, as is Theta Xi. One of the card stores in town got pin pillows in one time but only got them for the sororities on campus that were the bigger ones nationally.

Ask the Greek store on campus where they order their stuff from, and contact the company directly and let them know they are missing out on a big market. Plus try contacting other chapters and seeing what their situation is. Good luck!

May be a licensing problem. My entire freshman year, I could not get Phi Mu shot glasses down here. There was some problem at TIS, and Te Shurt only had the ones that they etched themselves. If your nationals won't let your letters be put on something alcohol-related, some companies will still make the stuff, but TIS refuses to carry it.

If you put in about 2 minutes work you can go directly to just about any local print shop, t-shirt store , gift shop and ask them if they can fill your order.

Ya might also want to bug nationals to see what's up. if it is a liscensing issue(mentioned previously), then you may be out of luck and have to buy direct from the national catalog. Letter shirts are usually no big deal to get though, even with a copyright on the greek characters.
