Lauryn Hill is still...
... damage to your medula, cerebrum and cerebellum if ya got a crew ya better tell em.
Singer Lauryn Hill Breaks Her Silence After Over a Decade
Lauryn Hill is back -- sort of.
Celebrated for her work with the Fugees and her classic solo album "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill," the Grammy-winning hip-hop/R&B artist has barely been seen or heard since 1999. (Despite universal accolades, she only released one album after 1998's "Miseducation": 2002's "MTV Unplugged.") Some wondered whether the erratic artist -- who demands to be addressed as "Ms. Hill" -- had a nervous breakdown.

5 kids with Rohan Marley. All I'll say is that his fine ass is a great compromise to Bob Marley's fine ass (R.I.P.).
I hope Rohan Marley eventually finalized his divorce.
Back to L-Boogie....

sigh. i LOVE lauryn hill. but i'm wary of this comeback because i'm pretty sure i once read somewhere that miseducation wasn't really her style, and mtv's unplugged was. and i didn't really like unplugged *_*
she's going to be at rock the bells in NYC but it's $99 for general admission. hell naw.

I saw several performances from the show. Loved Alicia and thought Chris Brown's performance was touching. Thought the performance at the end perpetuated every black stereotype known to man.
I'm assuming this had to do with Patti, though lol I love her to death, but that was not a fitting tribute to Prince. Jamie Foxx did a Prince parody in one of his stand up shows that was amazing. They could've picked him.

$99 for Fugees? Possibly. $99 for Lauryn? Nah.

Her "style" is supposedly one of the reasons why The Fugees have never been able to reunite. Her Unplugged wasn't horrendous, it just was...unplugged. With some plugging that style can work. I didn't need anymore Miseducation, anyway. I really want the Lauryn Hill from the Fugees' "Blunted on Reality" (they were SO hip hop long before the mainstream paid attention to them) and "The Score" albums.
I think I shall turn this into a Fugees and Lauryn Hill tribute thread. And...go....

Yup. But in many ways, Erykah has a better handle on "the machine" and doesn't seem to believe that it owes her anything.

I don't think he was in jail, but John Forte was.
