MADE after initiation?
I am apologize for bringing up a topic that is probably old to most of you BUT can you get made after you have been initiated? I crossed grad for multiple reasons, when I went to another state for grad school. After grad school I returned to my hometown & it seems as if I KNOW NOTHING but "textbook knowledge". I hardly know any sorors here & I am reluctant to wear para or reach out to anyone. The few Bruhz I know told me I should reach out & seek a process but is this possible after the fact?

Unfortunately, a common mistake. The same way she found the "few Bruhz," she could've and should've found the "few Sorors."
Anyway...new signature.

The Bruhz were actually family BEFORE I was a Delta. SO I did not seek advice from someone, especially of a fraternal org. They just knew my situation from knowing me. Regarding seeking a "few sorors", how do you walk up to a soror & say my chapter of initiation did not give me a proper process? Thanks for all of your replies & your time...

You are neither audacious nor a Deuce, so I had to take both out.

Keep that to yourself next time. No one cares what some Omegas told you. Delta business and knowledge trumps non-Delta input REGARDLESS of who these Omegas are and how long they have known you.

Fixed that for you purrrfectly.
Figure all of this out on on your own. Meanwhile, work on finding a spirit of discernment, being a financial and active Delta (knowledge is gained through interaction---DUH), and working in the community. Not doing any of these will get you wrecked quicker than that other mess you're undoubtedly talking about.

Oh it very possible. But believe me you need to think back to what you said. You said "I crossed grad for multiple reasons." Think back to the multiple reasons and be happy in your letters. You can't help how you came in.....well you can, but that's another thread for another day. Leave it alone. Don't let non-members tell you what you should be doing.

Do you not speak with those that initiated you? Or even those that were initiated with you (if any)?
Why you would listen to non-Deltas before a Delta is beyond me. And trust me, there are always things that you can learn about your organization. Seek that knowledge and try not to be concerned about a "process" so much.

Oh, I forgot to add that the result will be permanent expulsion from the sorority. So go for it, because then you won't have to worry about what you don't know beyond the textbook!

Those 'textbooks' are our guiding documents; 'knowledge' outside of those books is what gets sorors in trouble.
