GmuTeke's hands down way to helping the body out when you're "just about" to get sick.

This thursday, on UPN (check for local channel), there is a show on at 8pm called WWF Smackdown! I want you to get a big mug of hot tea, a blanket and a remote control. Watch smackdown under the blanket while drinking the tea.

The key to all of this is rest and relaxation. You're resting the body with the tea and the blanket, and resting the mind while watching pro wrestling. It's highly relaxing and allows your body some time to focus on fighting off the illness.

Give it a shot.

My boyfriend has a cold and both my roommates have the flu. Looks like my chances for not getting infected are slim to none. I'll be in the same boat as you SigmaChiCard in about two days. Feel better soon!

I can sympathize...

My boyfriend is sick right now too! I'm just waiting for my flu symptoms to kick in. I'm sure they will -- right before our big Costume Party this Saturday!

Drink lots of Orange Juice!!!!!

Unhappy

My 12th kid barfed in the middle of the living room carpet last night. Then he missed the toilet when he tried to barf there. I fear that we're in for a long siege with our crowd and pray that it's over befor Halloween.

Oh that's awfull! I was sick on Halloween once when I was little. Talk about miserable! No candy, no trick or treating, and wasting a really cool gypsy costume. Wishing you all healthy thoughts!!

Once my boyfriend and my roommate both had the flu. Well I must be immune or something, because I did not come down with it after being exposed to both of them. Yes, I was stupid and snuggled with my bf even though he was sick.

Carnation, you just spelled out one of the reasons I'm scared to ever have kids! It's a stupid reason, I know, but I have a really hard time being around vomiting people!

At the risk of sounding matronly...

Drink plenty of water and get a decent amount of sleep. If you are feverish, stay away from alcohol. You probably already knew that. And stay physically active. I believe it boosts the immune system. I hope you feel better for your IM soccer season.

Everyone else, feel better! If you have sick roommates, stay away from their cans of diet coke! Bad habit of sharing drinks with my sisters!

OK my little "Pooh Bear", I want you to go to bed early and take som Contact Flu and Cold med. You will sleep like a baby and have a bit of a hard time getting up. Take 2 showers a day to keep those sinuses open and rinse your nostrils. (I know that sounds funny but it keeps the bacteria count down)

500mg of C every 4 hrs or so and as all have stated-hydrate yourself. Hope you feel better soon.

Carnation-We had a couch that saw every illness related bodily function you can name. No matter how hard we tried, it just never regained that fresh fragrance. It was in good shape, but once it was removed from the house, we noticed how mush nicer the room smelled...(That was only 2 kids and a dog)
