Prison plans beauty pageant for inmates

A beauty pageant for the women inmates at the Cereso prison in Juárez will take place March 8 in celebration of the International Day of the Woman, prison officials announced this week.
The pageant, dubbed "Belleza Cautiva," or captive beauty, is intended to select "the most beautiful" among the 160 women inmates. There will also be winners for Miss Photogenic, Miss Friendly and Miss Elegance.
Prison officials also requested that fashion stores and the public sponsor some of the contestants.

Sounds like the plot of a potential mockumentary.

Glad it is in Mexico and not the US. I'd be upset if my tax dollars paid for such nonsense...my taxes pay for enough nonsense as it is.
