Did anyone see the Ananda Lewis show

Hello I am not a greek or anything but I was watching the Ananda Lewis Show sometime last week and the show was about how we see people or how can we tell if what decent people are like mixed, black, white etc. Anyways there was one woman an african american woman that stood up and she was responding to one of the guest because the young lady was mixed and she pledged a "white sorrority" and the woman in the audience was a journalist who wrote an article about how black sorrorities were established for blacks only so that we can gain unity and how she doesnt agree with whites or any other races pledging our sorrorities and frats.

now my question is this, I am still in the process of selecting a sorrority true enough, but I thought that sorrorities in general were about diversing into other races and excepting other races? Is that not so? I guess I am old fashioned but I keep thinking about how I was raised. Although people may have done bad things to you in the past, show them that you are better then them and be more excepting is how i look at it maybe I am wrong?

Delta Sigma Theta accepts women of all different races. It's a shock to some and an adjustment when youe meet them, but they are stil my sorors. As a matter of fact, my Dean of Pledges was white and she was the best. When I first started school there and saw her, I was shocked, but soon I didn't even see her color. People trip about my chapter having a white member all the time but I'm glad we did.
