You too can be a Sigma Nu
Someone is selling a Sigma Nu membership card and badge on ebay. The funniest part of this is the pricing scheme and the listed $250,000 shipping insurance for this "one of a kind" item.
Link
"You are bidding on a Bruce W. Solf, Sigma Nu National Fraternity initiate card and pin numbered ZX0735
You too can be an initiated member of Sigma Nu National Fraternity, or at least pretend like you are. Bidding on this Bruce Solf initiate pin and card allows you the privileges and reputation that comes along with being a certified Sky Dive Instructor, Nascar Driver, Rodeo Bull Rider, Trojan brand condom tester, the original Hair Club for Men president, and the oldest pledge ever to "pop his collar"!
You too can be the most mysterious man on campus playing drinking games with sorority girls trying to guess your age. Or telling those infamous tales that built you the reputation of being the most mysterious man on campus.... Like the time you raced Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson on a timed track when you passing through North Carolina. Can't forget the one when you were hanging out at the fraternity house (by yourself) and 3 Abercrombie & Fitch models came to the house looking for a good time and you being the southern gentleman you are, did exactly that. I loved the one about lasting 12 seconds on a bull named "Fu Woman Choo" because your hand got caught in the saddle and you still ended up getting 2nd place! Those are the kind of stories that last a lifetime. Don't delay, act NOW! Put in your bid before time runs out. More classic stories like time the girls swim team invited you to watch them practice and everyone went skinny dipping! Or that classic story about the deaf girl in the Cullen Fountains, oh wait, that was me! Sorry, got carried away. Oh, you gotta love those timeless stories! With this pin and card you too can tell stories like you are Bruce W. Solf! Don't delay, these classic, timeless stories you too can enjoy sitting around the fireside, having fun and games telling stories to future brothers about the good ol days back in college.
Due to the rarity of this item (ONLY 1 PRINTED) Shipping insurance will be $250,000! "

"Cullen Fountains" did it for me before I ever clicked the link. I notified a friend of mine who was in that chapter.

Soooo I heard back from my friend who was in that chapter, and while the guy who submitted that to eBay (it is NOT the owner of the card and badge) did so as a joke, apparently quite a few of their brothers are not happy about it at all.

Now that I know this, I kind of think this is hilarious. But I can understand how quite a few brothers may not be happy about it.

And maybe Mr. Solf for not keeping his badge and card in his possession.

Nicely done.
I have a new payoff plan for my student loans if this thing works out. I will watch closely.

CougarGrad: Would you happen to know if the person who pulled the prank is a member of the chapter? If so, this has got to be one of the best "in-house" pranks. If not, well a nice hurrah anyway for the description.
And special kudos for bringing fraternity pranks (on or by) into the electronic age.

The chapter is now gone, but yes, he is.
And in regards to your other comment, apparently the badge and card were never even *given* to their rightful owner.
