Watch out for this greek life scam!!
Just wanted all of you to be aware of this company. They have reportedly taken advantage of several greek groups. I received this note from my International today!
His M.O. is to go into a chapter and ask to talk with the treasurer or the officer who can sign checks. He tells that treasurer/officer that he has worked with the chapter in the past and in some cases, shows the officer a copy of an invoice. He convinces the young woman that she needs to order stationery -- gold crested, of course or bid day cards. His prices are
extremely high. He usually collects the check before leaving and then
cashes it on his way to the next campus, so by the time an adviser or someone else
questions the purchase, it is too late to stop payment on the check.
He was at UOP this week!!
He tried to charge an A Phi chapter there for a box of bid cards about to the tune of $498.00!!
I am not sure what other chapters could be victim but he is in the California area. He told our collegiate that he and his
wife would be traveling down through southern
California all the way to San Diego and then going to Arizona to visit U of Arizona and ASU. Just to put a bug in those campus' ears if you have chapters there!!!
