Laundry disaster!!!

Hellllp!

I accidentally washed and dried my kiwi strawberry chapstick. I now have pink spots on 4 white camis (so basically all that I own) and one of my favorite white shirts. Can I bleach them? I don't even know how to wash stuff in bleach. I guess I could Google how to bleach, but do you think that'll work?

Are there waxy deposits since it's chapstick? That's going to change how you treat the stain.

Hmm it doesn't seem like it. They're just pink. Oh, and it smells like kiwi strawberry still.

Someone showed me an article that said to scrape the wax off, then use Goo Gone on it, then wash. I think Goo Gone is amazing, and I have some. Sooo I'm definitely gonna try that.

I've washed and dried cherry chapstick with several loads of clothes (I've always got some in my pocket.) The best thing that I have found is Oxy-Clean. You have to spray each spot and rub it a little, but it almost always comes out. Goo-gone works, but then it's difficult to get the smell out of your clothes. Good luck!

I agree with pam713. I've heard Oxy-Clean works on everything.

my son had left some burt's bees lip balm in his pocket that was washed and dried with a whole load of his laundry. we did a hot water soak with oxy-clean and detergent-let the washer agitate just until all the clothes are immersed in the water and let it soak over night. the next morning the clothes were washed in that solution and dried. it all came out.

good luck!

Goof off (found at the hardware store) works really well. It removed hair dye from carpet.

I like the Tide and Clorox bleach pens. If the spots are small, just hit them and wash. Check the fabric before you wash in hot.

good luck! When I first got married, I washed all my husband's white dress shirts with a pink lip gloss. I sat on the laundry room floor and cried!

I would check the labels on your camis before bleaching them. Some fabrics don't do well w/ bleach.

Def. try the Tide pen... I have one and it's the shizz!
